Collages
The collages are, according to the series, made from images cut from magazines or old photographs, with sometimes pigments added.
The first collages made until early 2018 echo lyrics of French songs that gave the works their inspiration and titles.
The collages made during an artist residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, from June to November 2018, testify to a Chinese influence over several series (Lost in translation, Signes, Distorsions, Transparitions, Ton visage comme un paysage) and include papers, calligraphy or chinese maps, as well as old photographs and plays on transparency (as an echo to Genius loci, light boxes initiated during this same residence).
Back in France, the work on old photographs goes on through the series Mémoire des autres.
In addition to the original, an edition of 7 copies (exceptionally more, for the first collages) is available in various formats, from the original scanned in high resolution. Numbered and signed, most often printed on fine art Hanhnemühle paper laminated on Dibond, and framed on demand, they are of course offered at a lower price.
